Last Day at the Beach

Today was our last day here. Funny, we only went to the beach one day for about one half hour. We have been so busy this time. This morning we had to clean the place and do laundry, but in the afternoon we went over to the town where the church is located to meet with the couple who is going to work in our town. They are from Honduras and have been married for 24 years. They have only one son who is married and have their first grandbaby, only 10 days old. We just met and got to know each other and spend some time in prayer. This couple will start a different Bible study than Robby, but all four of them will work together to develop a nucleus or "cell" in town. We were happy to know that they have e-mail.

After that, we drove back to our place and met one of the women who work in the office here. She is seeking, but still describes herself as Catholic. We had a very nice evening. We had dinner at a nice restaurant where you go and choose the cut of meat you want. Then they'll B-B-Q it right there. There is a choice of green salad, vegetables, baked potato, potato salad, or all of the above, plus bread. The meal was delicious. We also spent time getting to know each other. She is a very nice person. We really did not push religion tonight because we want to become friends first. She knows what we are about because she attended our event Saturday night.

We go back home tomorrow. Please pray for or these people and our little town. May the light of the Lord shine bright in their lives!
