Friendships
Yesterday we visited friends in town, a young couple and their four-year-old son. This is the couple that we can e-mail because she works in an office here in the compound. They are our link to ask permission to use the town hall. We had some Christmas presents for them, things that they have mentioned, for example, "The Club" for their car, Exedrin (not sold here), two copies of the Christian movie we showed last time for some memebers of their family, jewelry for her and an electric train for their little boy. Randal, the husband, helped John with new weather stripping for our car because the car was leaking when it rained. He did a great job. We stayed at their home for a couple of hours, and set up a time to go out to dinner tomorrow night.
In the late afternoon we went to visit an American couple who lives here. They invited us to watch the sunset because their condo faces the beach, and we stayed for dinner. This couple is seeking, but confused. They listen to Pastor Gabriel Otero live every Sunday over the Internet. http://bethelmorganhill.org/listen.htm We had a lively conversation; somehow we got on homosexuality. Our point is that the Lord loves the sinner, but hates the sin. We even read Romans 1 to them, since their Bible was handy. He wants to believe that all religions take you to God. We told them that Jesus said "I am the way." It was New Years Eve, but we left way before midnight.
Pray for these two couples.
