NEW YEARS EVE

We are taking it easy today. I am trying to heal from my cough, so we are staying home for new years eve, even though we have had a few invitations. People can't quite get the fact that we prefer a quiet evening at home. We spent some time researching conflict resolution to get ready for our couples event, taking advantage of the quiet time. We also watched the Sun Bowl game this afternoon, and then went for a walk on the beach to watch the sunset. The Beach Club was already getting ready for the party tonight.

People come to this area from the capital to spend the holidays; therefore, it is very busy around here, but never to the extend that it is uncomfortable. There was a group of young people on the beach with a drum, sticks and clapping. They were dancing to the sunset. Another group was playing soccer barefooted on the beach. Couples were strolling, and some tourists were attempting to surf, but it was low tide. Now we are in for the rest of the evening.

This morning there was this locust on our back porch. With a little bit of honey, we are all set for dinner tonight. Just kidding!!

So, that is all for now. Happy New Year!!!

Until next time...from the beach...
